Application: Rabbit polyclonal anti CHRNA2 antibody is used to tag cholinergic receptor, nicotinic, α-2 for detection and quantitation by immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the presence and roles of cholinergic receptor, nicotinic, α-2 in the function and specificity of neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. Anti- CHRNA2 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 1 μg/ml. For immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded tissue sections, a concentration of 4-8 μg/ml is suitable.
General description: Neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) are homo- or heteropentameric complexes composed of homologous α and β subunits. Nicotinic acetylcholine receptors are broadly expressed in the nervous system where they help regulate processes such as excitability, neurotransmitter release and neuromuscular contraction. The specificity and function of various nAChRs is determined in part by their specific α and β subunits compositions. Neuronal acetylcholine receptor subunit α-2 (CHRNA2) is an important component of the nAChR component family.
General description: Rabbit polyclonal anti CHRNA2 antibody reacts with human cholinergic receptor, nicotinic, α-2 subunit.
