Name :
Recombinant Human Myoglobin Protein

Biological Activity :

Background :
MB (Myoglobin) is a Protein Coding gene. The MB gene, located on 22q12.3, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, and zebrafish. Myoglobin is an important intracellular oxygen-binding hemoprotein found in the cytoplasm of skeletal and cardiac muscle tissue playing a well-known role in O(2) storage and delivery. This gene encodes a member of the globin superfamily and is predominantly expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscles. The encoded protein forms a monomeric globular haemoprotein that is primarily responsible for the storage and facilitated the transfer of oxygen from the cell membrane to the mitochondria. This protein also plays a role in regulating physiological levels of nitric oxide. Diseases associated with MB include Compartment Syndrome and Medullomyoblastoma.

Lyophilized from sterile 20mM Tris, 300mM NaCl, pH 8.0.Please contact us for any concerns or special requirements. Normally 5 % – 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization. Please refer to the specific buffer information in the hardcopy of datasheet.

Shipping :
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature.Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid. They are shipped out with blue ice unless customers require otherwise.

Redissolution :
A hardcopy of datasheet with reconstitution instructions is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.
